The death occurred suddenly at his home on July 6, 2026 of Gary Turner MacDonald of Ellerslie, age 79. Beloved husband to Barb (nee Coughlin). Gary was born in Enmore, on April 20, 1947, son of the late Bayfield & Faye (Moore) MacDonald.

Dear father to Tina (David) Coughlin, Tammy (John Paul) Caissie, stepfather to Trena Powers, Tracy Powers, Timmy (Rachele) Powers and Nicky Powers.

Loving grandfather to Chad (Kristyn) Coughlin, Kayla (Cody) MacIntyre, Hailey Caissie, Brett Caissie, Jackie Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Ashley Rogers, Terrance Rogers, Taylor Powers, Madelyn Powers, Madison (Carter) Powers, Alex (MacKenzie) Foy, Darian Foy, Cassy Powers and Connor Powers.

Great grandfather to Jasmyn (Declan) Coughlin, Kylie MacDougall, Brea Coughlin, Bryce Coughlin, Quinn MacIntyre, Bryer MacIntyre and Nora MacIntyre.

Gary is also survived by siblings Judy (Donald) Milligan, Donna (Charlie) Ramsay, Terry (Charlie) Stewart, David (Leona) MacDonald, Larry (Eva) MacDonald, Kathy MacDonald, Ricky (Hazel) MacDonald, brothers and sisters in law Charlene MacDonald, Jocelyn MacDonald, Sonny (Cathy) Coughlin, Collene (Bobby) Annand, Sharon (Steve) Ellands, Darlene (Brent) Johnston, Donna (Eric) Wagner and Randy (Tammy) Coughlin.

Gary is predeceased by his parents, brothers Ron and Jimmy, sister in law Rosella Coughlin and brother in law Edison Coughlin.

Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visitation on Friday from 1:30-3:15p.m. Funeral service to follow at 3:30 p.m in the chapel Interment in the Bideford United Church Cemetery.
