The death occurred peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026 at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary of Ernest Wesley Currie of Rosebank, aged 89. Dear husband to Theresa Currie (Costain). Ernie was born in Alma on June 5, 1937, son of the late Jenny May Currie-Galpin.

Loving father to Francis (Monica), John (Cheryl), Dwayne and Shelley. Beloved grand-father to Shawna (Tyler), Alexis, Skylar (Jasmine), Montana, Brooke-Lynn (Calvin), Zoe and Georgia. Great-grandfather to Brody, Brenden, Weston and Declan.

Ernest is survived by his sister and brother in law Viola (Morris) Gallant.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home & Chapel O’Leary, with visiting hours on Thursday June 11, 2026 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday June 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Rosebank Gospel Hall.
