The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 of Verne Ray Collicutt of Springfield West, aged 96, husband of the late "Florence" Reby (nee Phillips) Collicutt. Verne was born in Springfield West on November 7, 1928, son of the late E. Ray & Cora (Foley) Collicutt.

Cherished dad to Harvey (Carol Ann) Collicutt, Springfield West; Sandra MacWilliams (Hal Brennan), Bloomfield; Betty Frizzell, Charlottetown; Iva (Allison) Stewart, Charlottetown; Barry Collicutt, West Point; Ronnie Collicutt, Richmond Hill ON; Richard Collicutt (Karen Campbell), Tignish; Calvin Collicutt Moncton; Cheryl Ann (Wade) Walfield; Summerside and David (Esther) Collicutt, Grand Barachois, NB.

Beloved grandfather to 24 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Verne is survived by sisters in law Betty Phillips, West Cape, Alma Phillips, O’Leary, Lillian MacLeod, O'Leary and several nieces and nephews.

Verne was predeceased by his wife Florence Collicutt (2016), his parents E. Ray & Cora (Foley) Collicutt, sons in law Fred MacWilliams, Rene Martin and Charles Frizzell, daughter in law Joyce Collicutt, brother Harry (Elsie) Collicutt, sister Bertha (Claude) Harkness and sister in law Jean Collicutt.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with private family arrangements. Interment in the Bethel United Church Cemetery.
