Surrounded by his loving wife and family, James passed away
on Monday, September 15th at the Palliative Care Unit of Community
Hospital, O’Leary. James battled ALS until he chose to stop
on his own terms, and that was a strength that the disease could not
take from him.
James Williams Dyment of Tyne Valley aged 82, Dear husband of
Anna Jean (nee Frost). James was born in Northam on November 13, 1942,
son of the late Russell and Doris (Moore) Dyment.
Loving father to Todd (Krista Montgomery) Millvale; Mark
(Anne) Northam; Melanie (Mike) Gorveatt, Stanley Bridge; and Heather
(Stephen) Poirier, Grand River. Loving grandfather to Keegan, Ben
(Dakota MacWilliams),Luke, Josh, Shelby (Frankie), Cohen, Grace and
Levi.
Dear brother to Dorothy Bearisto, Summerside; brother in-law
to Wilson Buffett, Charlene (Ellsworth) Campbell, Betty (Blair)
Strongman, Ethel Ellis, Alfred (Pauline) Frost, Sidney (Linda) Frost,
Evelyn Frost, Dori (Dan) MacLean, and Heather (George)
Mitchell.
James was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Georgie
Buffet, Shirley (Jim) Fitzgerald, Katherine Dyment, brothers David and
Charles, and brothers in-laws Preston Bearisto, Russell Ellis and
Bobby Frost.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting
hours on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service on Thursday at 2:00
p.m. at the Tyne Valley United Church. Interment in the Tyne Valley
United Church Cemetery.

James and his family would
like to thank the O'Leary Palliative Care Unit for their compassion
and guidance, his Home Care team, Doctor Kimpinski, Doctor Arsenault-
Sampson, Barb Paynter, the gang at Mama's Cafe, whose kindness on
coffee runs often made his day and last, but certainly not least,
James' many friends, family and neighbors in the communities of
Northam and Tyne Valley, their love and kind acts will always be
cherished.
