The death occurred suddenly, as a result of an automobile accident in East Bideford, on Friday, June 27, 2025 of Kevin Labobe of Lennox Island First Nation aged 54, beloved spouse of Judy Bernard. Kevin was born in Tyne Valley on May 26, 1971, son of the late Peter and Cecelia (Maloney) Labobe. 

Father to Joshua (Jessica), Kenny (Hallie), Kyle, Cameron,  step children Marsha (Donald) Levi, Misti Myers (Bobby Levi) and Sarah Myers. Grandfather to Kayden, Dallas, Charmaine, Coby, Mya, Shawndra, Emma, Theresa, Destiny, Justice, Jewel, Faith, Skye, Kavon, Adalynn and great grandchildren Holden, Evander, Vanessa, Nyla, Everleigh, Leo, William, Tommy, Harper-Lynn and Adrien.

Brother to Christine Bernard, Barbara (Charlie) Sonier, Sheila Mitchell, Angela (Barry) Hanthorn, Kat Labobe (Carl). Brother in law to Kathy (Drew) Fry, James (Sharon) Bernard, Cyrus Bernard, Janet (Cecil) Banks, Darlene (Don) Bernard,  Julie Pellissier-Lush (Rick), Joan Bernard, Philip (Mary) Bernard, Freddie Bernard and Elaine Rayner.

Kevin will also be missed by his foster families Isabel (Rodney) Delaney, Champion Butler (Rachel Kameka), Melody (Doug) Hurshman, Grant Jr. (Maggie Butler) and Foster mom Sandra Knockwood.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents, sisters Doris, Rose, Joyce, brothers Joey, Kenny and Foster father Danny Knockwood. 

Forwarded from Ferguson Funeral Home to his home, 243 Sweet Grass Trail, Lennox Island First Nation for visting hours Thursday afternoon and evening. Funeral Mass on Friday at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island First Nation at 11a.m.  Interment later In St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
