The death occurred at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, B.C. on December 20, 2024 of Ivan Hanson Costain , of Surrey, formerly of Miminegash, PE aged 79 years. Ivan was born in Miminegash on May 21, 1945, son of the late John and Ada (Collicutt) Costain.

Dear father to Tammy (Glen) Keffer, Belinda (Jim) Tilley, Melissa Albolay, Liam (Kirsten) Brown, Cody (Kristy) Costain, Lucas Costain and Mariah Costain. Grandfather to 35 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ivan is also survived by his siblings, Mildred Vandebor, Jim, Owen (Maureen), Bandler, Ebben along with many nieces and nephews.

Ivan was predeceased by his parents, daughter Corinna, brothers Alvin, Charlie, Harvey, Wylie, Melvin, Raymond, sisters Barbara Jackson and Irma.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary. Ivan's final wish was to return home to PEI and be laid to rest in the Miminegash United Church Cemetery with family. Completion of his services will take place in the spring, when his family are able to attend.
