The death occurred suddenly at his home in Howlan on Friday, January 3, 2025 of David Clarence Smith aged 69, husband of Shirley (Carruthers) Smith. David was born in West Point on October 16, 1955, son of the late Clarence and Birdie (MacWilliams) Smith

Dear father to Terry. Brother to Debbie (Garnett) Dumville, Lloyd (Janet) Smith, Francis Smith, Barbara Smith, Stephen Smith and Lorna Smith. Brother in law to Sharon Smith, Elmer Dumville, David (Eileen) MacMillan and Wayne Carruthers.

David was predeceased by his parents, brothers Roy, Walter, sister Hazel Dumville, mother and father in law Clayton (Ferne) Carruthers.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with with visiting hours Wednesday 12:00 to 1:45pm. Funeral in the Chapel at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Bloomfiled United Cemetery in the Spring.
