The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Monday, March 4, 2024 of Mary Lillian Cooke of O'Leary, formerly of Cape Wolfe, aged 70 years, wife of the late of Allen Cooke. Born in Alberton on January 26, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Jack & Allie (MacKenzie) Smallman.

Loving mother to Gayle (Doug) Mallett, Piusville; Vicki (Greg) Bridges, Springfield West; John Allen (Amanda) Cooke, Stratford; Allie (Jeremy) Wallace, Cape Wolfe; Emily Cooke, Alberton and son in law Jeremy Arsenault. Dear grandmother to Abigail, Anna and Alice Mallett; Ruthie, Grae, Becky Lee and Carly Bridges; Maria, Jack and Deon Cooke; RJ, Brooklyn and Cole Wallace; Riley, Lily and Laurel Arsenault.

Mary is also survived by her brothers and sisters Wallace (Margaret Ann) Smallman, Norman (Mary) Smallman, Donnie (Janet) Smallman, Calvin (Heather) Smallman, John (Faye) Smallman, Susan (Keir) Easter, Stephen (Paula) Smallman, Myrna Bridges, Melvin (Wendy) Smallman, Alton (Florence) Smallman; brothers in law Shelton Barlow and Floyd (Betty) Cook as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her parents, husband Allen (Sept 20, 2017), grandson Randy Gamble, brother Lorne Smallman, mother and father in law Victor & Abbie Cooke and sister in law Mary Barlow

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visitation on Friday from 4-8p.m. Funeral will be held on Saturday at 2:00p.m at the Alberton Baptist Church. Interment in Cape Wolfe United Church Cemetery.
