The death occurred, surrounded by his family at the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre, Charlottetown on Thursday, November 16, 2023 of "Sam" Samuel Earle Dawson of Poplar Grove aged 59, beloved husband and best friend to Lorna (Phillips) Dawson. Sam was born in Ontario on July 5, 1964, son of the late Frank & Edith (Murphy) Dawson.

Cherished dad to Ashley (Bryan) Maynard, Samantha Dawson (Kirk Raynera) and J.C Dawson (Shiann Clements). Loving grandfather to Brynnley Maynard, Allie Dawson and Aubrey Dawson.

Dear brother to Carol Strongman, brother in law to Lloyd (Shanna) Phillips, Sam is also survived by step mother in law Bertha Bridges, special nephew Dale Strongman and loving puppy Kacey.

Sam was predeceased by his parents, brother Wendell Dawson, sister in infancy Irene, father in law Carman Phillips, mother in law Elizabeth Phillips and brother in law Don Strongman.

Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting hours Sunday 2:00 -5:00 pm. Funeral on Monday in the Bideford-Conway United Church at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
