The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O’Leary on Saturday, September 16, 2023 of Grant Bayfield Betts of Bloomfield aged 65. Beloved husband of Trudy (nee Smith) Betts. Grant was born in O’Leary on April 14, 1958, son of May Moran & the late Orville Betts.

Cherished dad to Kendra (Alvin) Smith. Loving grandfather to Riley, Colby and Brianna.

Dear brother to Maxine (Heath) MacDougall, Donna Ellis, Yvonne Buchanan, Michelle (David) Pederson, Karen Dyment, Blake (Brenda) Betts and Carter (Nancy) Betts. Grant is also survived by sisters and brothers in law Cindy (Russell) Veniot, Darrell (Dorothy) Smith, Darren (Susan) Smith, Wesley (Lana) Smith and Shelley (Chris) Champion.

Grant was predeceased by his father Orville, daughter Wendy (1993), brother Sherman, brother in law Ricky Ellis and nephew Cory Buchanan.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday from 6-8pm Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in the Glenwood United Cemetery.
