The death occurred at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 of Dorothy Lillian Loretta "Dot" Rodgerson formerly of Unionvale aged 96, wife of the late Fred Rodgerson. Dot was born in West Devon on March 6, 1927, daughter of the late James and Mary -Ellen (Chisholm) Wood.

Cherished mom to Jimmy, Wanda (Elton) Ellis, Trudy (Kenny) Buote and Grant. Loving grammy to Christina (Kerry) Campbell, Jamie (Sara) Rodgerson, Patti (Allison) Sweet, Penni Ellis (Brendan Bell), Brody (Lanette) Ellis, Kent (Amanda) Rayner, Kendall Buote, Krista Buote (Johnny), Kortney Buote (Curtis), Madalene Rodgerson, Monica Arsenault, Joel (Christa) Rodgerson, Lacey (Jason) Gallant, Falon Rodgerson (Devon Arsenault) and great grammy to 36 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Dot is also survived by her sisters in law Maisie Wood, Eva Rodgerson, Viola Rodgerson, Theresa Rodgerson and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, husband Fred, son Ronnie, daughter Sheila (John) Rayner, sisters Olive Grigg, Muriel MacNaught, Beulah Baker, Priscilla Pierce and brothers Ivers Wood and Al Wood.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Monday, September 11, 4:00 -7:00 pm. Funeral on Tuesday in the Chapel at 11 am. Interment to follow in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
