The death occurred suddenly at his home on Lennox Island First Nation on Sunday, July 30, 2023 of Patrick "Eugene" Peters aged 66. Born in Tyne Valley on June 22, 1957, son of the late Matthew and Anne Marie "Molly" (Labobe) Peters.

Dear father of Sarah (Gordon Landry), Dawson and Lauriena. Grampy to Grace, Isabella, Abygail and Emma. He will be missed by his wife and mother of his children, Sandra Smith along with his brothers John, Joseph "JoJo", sisters in law Judy Peters, Carol Peters , brother in law Joseph John Sanipass and his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eugene was predeceased by his parents, brother Emmett, sisters Irene Sanipass and sister Helga (in infancy).

Forwarded from Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel to 87 Oyster Trail, Lennox Island First Nation on Tuesday for visiting hours from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday morning at 10.00 am then to St. Annes Roman Catholic Church for Liturgy of the word service at 10:30 am. Interment will be at a later date in St. Annes Cemetery.
