The death occurred at his home in Bloomfield on Friday, April 16, 2021 of H. Dale MacAusland, aged 62, beloved husband of Patsy (nee MacLellan). Dale was born in O’Leary, September 6, 1958, son of the late Harry and Rosamond (MacLean) MacAusland.
Cherished father to Monica and Brenna (Derrick Lewis). Dear grandfather to Hailey, Cora and Patrick Lewis. He will be forever missed by his furry best friend "Maverick".
Dale moved to Alberta for work after High School, joined The Canadian Armed Forces and upon completion of his services returned to his home in West Prince where he joined the family business, MacAusland Woolen Mills, becoming the fifth generation owner and operator. Dale loved his family, reading, good conversation and debates on a wide range of topics. He had a great sense of humour and was the quintessential West Prince man.
Dale is also survived by his brother Dean (Christine), Augustine Cove; sisters Dianne (Ian) MacAusland-Berg, Regina, and Dawna (Terry) Wastesicoot, Toronto, sisters and brothers in law Kenny (Marie) MacLellan, Clair (Martha) MacLellan, Peter (Brenda) MacLellan, Blane (Pam) MacLellan and Paula (Neil) Bysterveldt, uncles Reginald (Anne) MacAusland, Herman (Lillian) MacLean, aunts Esther Boulter, Jean MacLean, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Richard Ivan, mother and father in law Peter & Mabel MacLellan, Aunt Adele (Ace) Clark, Uncles Raeford MacLean and Harding Boulter.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, cremation has taken place and no services at this time. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
