It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Doug Gallant announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, the family chain is broken and his brothers and sisters are deeply sorry their brother has been taken from them, way to soon.

Doug is survived by his beautiful daughter Kim (Greg), loving granddaughter Breanna "Pumpkin" and his wonderful grandson Nicholas "Nick the stick". The apple of his eyes were his two great grandchildren Hailey Ann & Jesse Douglas whom he loved dearly.

Doug was born in Alberton on September 26, 1950, son of the late Leo and Theresa (Pineau) Gallant.

Surviving brothers are Donny (Holly), Robert (Gen), Richard (Laurie), Martin (Susan)
Sisters Jeannie (Myron), Debbie, Vivian, Joanne (Predeceased Frank), Claudette (Brad) and Janice.

Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, who will forever miss their uncle Dougie and loved him dearly.

Aunts, Uncles and so many cousins will miss him for his great sense of humour, his sing alongs, his jokes and friendly demeanor.

He was known to many of his friends and Legion buddies as "Doug & Friends", where he would always put on a great show.

Doug enjoyed his home at the Jubilee where he made friends and enjoyed socializing with one and all.

He resided at Phillips Residence in Alberton for a short period of time, but became very involved with the outings, activities, sing songs and made the Phillips Residence his home. He truly enjoyed the time he had to spend there. On behalf of all his family, a heartfelt thanks to the staff, his friends, his roommate and everyone who took the time to pay him a visit.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses for their special care, and their warm hearts.

Doug will forever be in the hearts of his family, his friends and so many others, and we know that he is resting in peace now. But we, as a family, will miss him dearly and forever.

Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday June 26 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Members of St Anthony's Royal Canadian Legion, branch # 27, Bloomfield will hold a service of remembrance for their late member at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm.
