The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her family, at
Western Hospital, Alberton on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 of Joan Catherine
Blanchard (nee Arsenault), of Bloomfield, aged 84 years, wife of the
late J. Francis Blanchard. Born on April 24, 1933 in Howlan, daughter
of the late Leo and Annie Mae Arsenault.
Loving mother to Merle (Willow), Kensington; Marvin (Jane),
Union; Marlene (Bob) Kinley, Howlan; Myron (Kim), Bloomfield; Maureen
(Michael) McPhee, Bloomfield and Glen (Gloria), Fort McMurray, AB.
Beloved grandmother to 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and
mnay nieces and nephews.
Joan is also survived by sisters Leona Gallant; Grace (Eddie)
Blanchard; brother Lorne (Marjorie) Arsenault and sister Judy (Arnold)
Milligan; sisters in law Emma (Ed) Boyd, Yvonne (Jerry) Beaupre, Emily
Arsenault, Lorraine Gallant, and Rosie Arsenault.
Joan was
predeceased by her husband Francis, granddaughter Breanne Kinley,
brothers Clifford, Ivan, Lyman, Muncy, Milton, Bernard, Allan, George,
Kenneth and sister Eileen.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. and until Friday at 1:30 p.m., then to St. Anthony’s
Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock for funeral Mass at 2:00p.m.
Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In memory of Joan, memorials to St. Anthony’s
Church Restoration Fund would be appreciated.

Ladies Auxilliary will hold a Service of Remembrance for their late
member on Thursday at 6:30p.m.
