The death occurred peacefully at the Stewart Memorial Home, Tyne Valley on Saturday, March 25, 2017 of Mary Ellen "Ellie" Biggar formerly of Portage, in her 104 year, wife of the late Elliott Biggar. Born in Alberton on July 20, 1913, daughter of the late John & Bridget (Connelly) Costain.

Cherished mother to Aldona Culleton, Summerside; Betty (Harvey) Jeffery, Cascumpec and daughter in law Mary Biggar, Ellerslie. Loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Ellie is the last surviving member of her family.

Ellie was predeceased by her parents, husband Elliott (2002), sons David Biggar (2007) and Wayne in infancy, grandson Joey Jeffery, granddaughter Shelly Cowan, brothers John, George, Jim, sisters Angelina Bulger, Lillas Mills, Katherine Mills, Winifred Legrow and Gertrude Maynard.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday from 7-9 .pm. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Woodstock on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

Interment in the spring in St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Foxley River.
