The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Thursday, January 19, 2017 of E. Jeanette Birch formerly of Birch Hill, aged 105 years, wife of the late Laurie Birch. Born in Freeland on January 5, 1912, daughter of the late Robert Cummings & Annie Eleanor (Cody) Henderson   

Cherished mother to Doris MacKendrick, Tyne Valley; Beverley (Wyman) Millar, Summerside; David (Mary) Birch, Birch Hill; Bertha (David) Fram, Charlottetown; Marnie (Harold) Noye, Summerside; Anne Harland Summerside and Dr. Sandra Birch (Frank Gaasenbeek) Stratford, ON. Loving grandmother to 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren. 

Jeanette is also survived by sister in law Mary Henderson, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba . 

Jeanette was predeceased by her parents, husband Laurie, son in law Allan MacKendrick, grandsons Denis Birch, Gary Frizzell, granddaughter Nan Millar, great granddaughter Erin Noye, brothers and sisters James, Alice, Jennie, Kenneth, Margaret, Maude, Lloyd, Gladys, Kathleen, Joshua and John in infancy 

Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley  Funeral  Chapel,  with private family visiting hours only. 

Funeral on Monday in the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel at 11am. Interment in the St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Port Hill.   

Family flowers only, in memory of Jeanette, memorials to St. James Anglican Church, Port Hill would be appreciated.
