The death occurred at Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Saturday August 20, 2016 of Alton "Douglas" Horne, formerly of Rosebank, aged 85, husband of the late Alida (Rayner). Born in Rosebank on March 15. 1931, son of the late Hampton and Matilda (Crockett) Horne.

Dear father to Allan (Louise), Red Deer AB; Debbie Horne, Huntley, Stuart, Rosebank; Gordon (Lori), Calgary, AB and Carolyn Hill (Michael Normandeau), Kensington.

Loving grandfather to Kyle, Dan, Ben, Harry, Charles, Jessie, Sara, Amy, Ryan, Kendall, Jon and Shannan. Doug is also survived by special friend Norma Adams and brothers and sisters in law Ferne Gregoire, Irene Boudreau, Faye Rayner, Velma Francis, Marjorie Tinnin, Olive (Alan) Rogers, James Rayner, Marilyn Rayner, Paul (Celina) Rayner, Linda Rayner ( Mike Perron) and Marsha Rayner.

Predeceased by his parents, wife January 18, 1998, daughter in law Katherine "Kitty", sisters Jean Cameron, Doris Forbes Frost and infant brother Verlan.

Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours on Tuesday August 23, 2016 from 6-8p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 11:00a.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmsdale United Church Cemetery.
