The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on
Sunday, November 29, 2015 of James Andrew Winn of Summerside, formerly
of Conway, Veteran of WWII, aged 91 years. Born on November 18, 1924
in St John, N.B, he was the son of the late Frank & Catherine
(Morrison) Winn.
Loving father to Roy (Sylvia) Winn, Ellerslie; Wilfred
(Sheila) Winn, Tryon; Debbie (Carl) MacDougall, Bideford; Ruth
Walfield, Poplar Grove; Susan Barlow, Tyne Valley; Glenda Moore (Danny
Rayner), Miscouche and Sylvia (Sean) Durant, St.
Nicholas.
Beloved grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren.
James is also survived by brothers Bryant (Carol) Winn,
California and Walter (Darlene) Winn, Tennessee.
James was predeceased by his parents, wife Ettie (Tiny), son
George Dewar, sons in law Bob Barlow, Jim Moore, Wayne Walfield and
sisters Frances Banks and Mary Banks.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, with visiting
hours on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral will be
held on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m in the chapel.
Interment to follow in Freeland Presbyterian Church
Cemetery.
Comrades of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ellerslie Branch # 22
will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade at the
funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:45pm.
In lieu of flowers in memory of James, memorials to Freeland
Presbyterian Church or Cemetery would be appreciated.
