Melvin Austin McCarthy

As the result of a drowning in Murray Harbour North on Thursday, July 8, 2010, of Melvin McCarthy of Murray Harbour North, age 60 years. 

Husband of the late Brenda (Strickland). 

Beloved father of Susan (Jim) Nelson, Alaska and Tony (Bobbie), Fort St. John, B.C. 

Cherished grandfather of Samantha & Nicholas. 

Dear son of  Vivian (nee Irving) and the late Eugene McCarthy.  Brother of Edith (Kenny) Kerr, Wilfred (Marie), Cameron, Robert (Lori), Ralph (Betty), Harold (Brenda), Karen (Kevin) Matheson, John (Linda), and Jamie (Anne).  Also survived by brother-in-law, Fred White.

Pre-deceased by his sister Joyce White. 

Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. 

Interment in the St. Paul's Parish Cemetery, Sturgeon.

Visitation: Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
